Most initiatives in Africa have tried to solve the electricity issues in hospitals by adding local power generators (photovoltaïc, diesel, etc.). These systems generally add complexity and instability to rough-and-ready and unreliable electrical infrastructures.
This project aims at considering the hospital network as a minigrid that will be modeled and simulated with advanced SW tools.
The goal is to provide recommendations for improving and stabilize existing low voltage network before adding some power generators and storage. A dynamic control system will be studied to stabilize the power according to the available power supply and dynamic loads.
