Electrical networks in most African countries suffer from many problems that often compromise the availability and quality of power supply, cause fires, destroy electrical devices, and expose people to electrical hazards. This situation is particularly damaging in hospitals and other healthcare infrastructures.
To initiate a collaborative research program on the subject with the scientific staff of the CURES center in Yaoundé, a training seminar is organized on the reliability, safety and efficiency of electrical systems, with a special focus on district hospitals in the future emerging countries.
This training (in French) will take place from November 17 to 21 at the CURES center in Yaoundé.
Professors and scientists from several universities from southern and northern countries will meet in order to share some state-of-the-art knowledge and foster collaboration related to the topic.
The seminar will consist of theoretical courses, together with practical sessions in laboratory and in the field. A workshop will be organized as well on technical and financial issues related to the implementation of the relevant technologies and best practices.
