The ENSPY hosting the CURES has signed a collaboration agreement with PowerSys . PowerSys markets EMTP -RV , which is a simulation software of electrical networks and of analysis of transients phenomena. The software allows the power flow calculation (Load -flow) , the calculation in permanent system (Steady state) , the calculation in the time domain (Time domain) and the calculation in the frequency domain ( Frequency scan) . This software is used to CURES following a characterization of the network of hospitals and energy audits. It allows among others to model the low-voltage electrical networks of district hospitals , to simulate the scenarios of perceived problems , to analyze the electrical state of the network based on available sources and their system of functioning.The software has been used for example in the training seminar in November 2014 ( http://www.energie-cures.org/fr/node/54 ) to train participants on modeling and simulation of electrical defaults on a network . During the seminar, several aspects of the problem were discussed such as modeling of the main elements of a network ( generators, transformers, loads, lines) , network modeling , modeling of protection systems such as surge arresters , modeling of electrical defaults (short circuit , imbalance, insulation default ... ) , analysis of simulation results as an aid in choosing an electric protection, etc. EMTP -RV is used to CURES as a preliminary simulation tool for any proposed solution. It will also help us in the future to carry out some thesis projects which have been already identified such as the power grid management project of an African district hospital -Micro network approach
